Super Chibi Knight is the successor to an unbearably adorable web browser game Chibi Knight,В an action-adventure-RPG in the vein of Zelda 2 thatВ sets off to defeat a trio of monsters terrorizing the land, and along the way, somehow manages to deforest the entire world.ДЄctually, вЂњin the vein ofвЂќ might be downplaying it a little Chibi Knight really wanted to be Zelda 2.

Super Chibi Knight is the creation of talented game designer Pestoforce, whoвЂ™s also one third of the triumvirate that built theВ similarly incredible web-browser game AboboвЂ™s Big Adventure. The effort showsВ with a carefully crafted game made with so much heart and charm and care that itвЂ™s hard to not fall in love. The game is an act of love in many ways В love for the games that inspired it, love for the games of the community toВ which it belongs, and love for an eight year old girl named Bella, who served as one half of the development team, helped playtest, and provided all the voice work for the game. Thus is the spirit of Super Chibi Knight, an adorable action/adventure/RPG that encourages exploration and truly feels like an epic journey, despite its relatively short length. I felt it was up to me to solve those problems and get back home before the coming apocalypse. After exploring the island a bit, I discovered there were a whole slew of problems in this new land. вЂњBut what about the phoenix?вЂќ I said aloud, wondering if anyone heard me. There was a fisherman nearby who seemed more than happy to laugh at me and tell me IвЂ™m trapped on that island. I thought, вЂњCool! A new place to explore, why not! IвЂ™ll help out the phoenix later.вЂќ I took the boat ride, but once I got to the next island, the boat crashed into the dock and launched me onto the pier. He was so grateful that he offered me a boat ride to a far off island. AtВ about the same time I found diamond dust, I also found a вЂњPhoenix Key.вЂќ I knew what to do with it, but I decided to help out my pirate friend firstВ and carve him a statue. I didnвЂ™t know where to find it вЂ“ the game didnвЂ™t tell me вЂ“ but I eventually found it. HeВ asked me to carve him a statue, which I couldnвЂ™t do unless I found an item called вЂњDiamond Dust,вЂќ an item that allowed me to break stone blocks. I met a pirate on the pier who decided he wanted to quit pirating and become an art collector instead. Early on in Super Chibi Knight, I received a quest to carve a statue.
